Slider’s first motorcycle ride in 1960 ignited a permanent obsession for riding on the open road and a lifestyle dedicated to hard work, family and serving others. For nearly 25 years he served as a volunteer EMT and CPR instructor and provided support for EMT’s suffering from critical incident stress. In appreciation for improving the image of motorcycling and presenting the Accident Scene Management course to thousands of bikers worldwide, he has received many local and national awards. Most recently he accepted the prestigious John “Farmer” Eggers award.

Anita Bailey, Paramedic

Anita has worked in EMS since 1977 as a field provider, educator, administrator and author. She recently retired after serving Iowans as a regional EMS coordinator for the Iowa Department of Public Health Bureau of EMS for 19 years. Anita volunteered for the American Heart Association as basic, advanced, regional and state faculty and she led the implementation of the Public Access Defibrillation efforts in Iowa. Anita was inducted into the Iowa EMS Association Hall of Fame in 2016. She remains passionate about fighting sudden death, building EMS systems for the future and is committed to excellence in EMS.

Frank has extensive experience as an EMS provider and administrator since 1977. He continues to develop and present cutting-edge EMS educational programs and inspires students to be technically competent and compassionate providers. He was inducted into the Iowa EMS Association Hall of Fame in 2017. Currently, Frank uses his leadership expertise as the Deputy Chief for the Ankeny Fire Department in Ankeny, Iowa. Frank is well-known and well-respected as an industry leader that champions for all patients.

In 2005 Wayne joined the Two Wheel Trauma family and presents a portion of ABATE’s Share the Road (STR) at every program. His enthusiastic presentation style captivates the audience and leaves them in awe of his inspiring message. He is a true advocate for safe roads and has testified in Washington DC. Wayne is the former State Coordinator for ABATE of Iowa’s STR program and was instrumental in enacting legislation that mandates the STR program be presented in every driver’s education program in Iowa.
